The attic-style shelving is a common type of storage shelving used in warehouses for storing goods. However, it is often used to store boxed or bagged goods. But due to its feature of fully utilizing the height space of the warehouse, many specially-sized goods also want to be stored using it. So, can attic storage shelving be used for storing rolls of materials? Let's find out.

Large-diameter rolls can be directly stacked upright on the attic platform, while the ground layer is stacked using pallets. Small-diameter rolls can be first placed in storage baskets and then placed on the attic for storage. For roll-shaped goods such as fabric rolls and wire rolls, when the diameter is no more than 1 meter, they are convenient to stack on the attic platform without wasting the upper space due to being too high.

Of course, cantilever shelves can also be designed under the attic platform for storing rolls of materials, which is a combined attic cantilever shelf system that can meet multiple storage needs at the same time, achieving two benefits with one solution. It should be noted that the floor load-bearing capacity of the attic shelves is usually between 200 and 500 kilograms per square meter. It is not suitable for placing heavy materials. If the rolls are heavy materials, a forklift is needed for storage, and the attic platform is not suitable. Consider cantilever shelves or other steel coil shelves instead.
