OK. However, the prerequisite is that the shelf system itself must meet specific conditions. Ordinary warehouse pallet racks cannot be directly used with narrow aisle forklifts; there are fundamental differences in their structural design and operation methods. The passageway width of ordinary pallet racks is usually over 3 meters, and forklifts can freely turn to perform 90-degree perpendicular stacking. While narrow aisle racks still use a crossbeam structure as the main body, they must install guide rails or magnetic wires on the floor of the aisle to guide the three-way stacking forklifts to travel in a straight line. The guide rail system is the most fundamental structural difference between the two.

Therefore, warehouse pallet racks can be accessed and stored using narrow aisle forklifts, but a guide rail system needs to be installed and the ground flatness needs to be re-evaluated. From an economic perspective, when the shelf height is less than 7 meters, the overall cost of using the narrow aisle solution is not cost-effective, because the cost of narrow aisle forklifts is much higher than that of ordinary forklifts. The VNA system is more suitable for warehouse scenarios with a clear height of over 8 meters, frequent goods entry and exit, and the need for high-level storage.
