The cantilevered shelf is a common type of shelf used for storing rolls of materials. However, the cantilevered shelf can also be combined with the attic shelf design to vertically utilize space and achieve a larger storage capacity. How is it possible to store and retrieve materials on the cantilevered attic rack? Let's find out below.

In simple terms, the cantilevered attic shelf is built by adding an attic platform on top of the regular cantilevered shelf, or the attic shelf can also be designed in the same way as the floor shelf. For the upper part, small rolls of materials can be directly removed or placed from the cantilevered shelf using hands. For slightly heavier rolls of materials, a lightweight trolley or hydraulic pallet truck can be used for short-distance transportation on the attic platform.

For the lower part, if storing heavy rolls of materials, a forklift can be used for storage and retrieval. For relatively lighter rolls of materials, manual storage and retrieval can be designed directly. It can be seen that the cantilevered attic shelf mainly uses manual and forklift storage and retrieval methods. Of course, it can also be designed for cross-hauling storage or automated storage and retrieval. Each storage and retrieval method corresponds to a different design scheme, and the cost will also vary.
