There are two types of shuttle racks: semi-automatic and fully automatic. The semi-automatic racks are the most widely used type at present, as they have a lower cost compared to fully automatic shuttle racks. Most enterprises have the purchasing capability. What information is needed when quoting for semi-automatic shuttle racks? Let's find out below.

Firstly, the length, width, and height of the warehouse must be provided, especially the net height of the warehouse, which is the actual usable height after removing obstacles such as fire protection pipes and ventilation ducts. Secondly, detailed CAD drawings must be provided, indicating the ground load-bearing capacity, flatness, position dimensions of the columns, distribution of fire sprinklers, and layout of the entrances and exits. Additionally, special requirements of the usage environment (such as cold storage, chemical industry, etc.) must also be submitted as they will affect the material and surface treatment of the racks.

Furthermore, the size (length, width, and height) of the pallet (or bin) and the maximum weight of a single pallet are also required. These data directly determine the design size of the shuttle board, the selection of the shelf beams, and the load-bearing structure of the entire system. Also, the maximum ground load-bearing capacity is required, and whether it needs to be connected with forklifts or automated production lines. Only with these design plans can the quotation for semi-automatic shuttle racks be made.
