The fluent rack is an advanced first-in-first-out storage device. Its core principle is to use rollers or pulley systems and the weight of the goods themselves to make the goods automatically slide from the inbound end to the picking end. The fluent rack is designed for box-based picking. Its structure and load-bearing capacity are not based on pallets. So, it is generally a rack for material boxes or packaging such as cartons, which is suitable for the storage of relatively lightweight goods. The load capacity is generally designed to be within 500kg and is not suitable for storing heavy goods using pallet racks.

If heavy goods want to have the same operation principle and storage effect as the fluent rack, a gravity roller rack can be considered. The roller rack is also a type of advanced first-in-first-out rack. It needs to be placed on pallets or material boxes for storage. Each storage position can be designed to have a load capacity of 2 tons. By using the weight of the goods to slide down, it achieves high-density storage and FIFO management. It is widely used in warehouses, workshops, factories, cold storage facilities, etc.
